Dr. George R. Wandling, P.E., C.F.E.I.

Dr. Wandling is President of Wandling Engineering with more than 30 years of engineering experience.  He holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.  He joined IBM as a staff mechanical engineering in 1981, and after 13 years he left his position as senior engineering project manager and professional engineer to join Wandling Engineering.
Clients have sought his assistance with cases involving fires and explosions including water heater/scalding cases; wind turbines, industrial presses, on-road and off-road equipment accidents.  He has provided consulting services in the broad range of engineering fields including product design, safety, and hazard analysis, and has provided expert testimony in both State and Federal Courts

Ph.D. Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa 2000.  Mechanical Engineering. Field of study: machine design, mechanisms, dynamic systems and control, thermodynamics and energy systems.
M.S. Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa 1996.  Mechanical Engineering.
B.S. Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa 1981.  Graduate with Distinction in Mechanical Engineering.
Certifications
Dr. Wandling is a Registered Professional Engineer in Iowa, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Alabama.  He is a certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (National Association of Fire Investigators) and is certified in Boiler Operation Maintenance Safety (Maintenance Training Association of the Americas).
