Wandling Engineering applies mechanical engineering principles and expertise to investigate product failure. Our engineers analyze the lifecycle of the product, including its design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance. We investigate how the product was used and in what environment or conditions. We have a wide range of testing capabilities and can conduct a variety of tests on the failed component or exemplar components in our labs. In addition, our engineers employ computational tools to analyze product failure and mathematically model the conditions under which the failure occurred.
When conducting hazard and risk analyses, our engineers consider all relevant factors involved in the situation, which may include design, manufacturing, instructions and warnings, product usage, installation, and maintenance. Our engineers are experienced in conducting Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA), a method for identifying modes of failures and the effects they may have.
